#1 Preschool & Child Care in the Neighborhood!

Located in the #1 neighborhood in Albany, Or, our North Albany Home is conveniently located right off HWY 20.  We have a wonderfully large back yard with landscaping to promote imagination & discovery and inside environments created with intention and extended learning.  We are just a short walk away from Parks and the people in our community love to see the children on walks!

Dandelion Early Learners has been in the community since 2018.

Families Love our Home Away From Home Where Children Thrive!

Dandelion Early Learners is located in a large bright home with vaulted ceilings and an open kitchen & eating area.  We have a large Preschool Area with 7 Learning Environments.  Our Toddlers have their own room with private bathroom and separate entry which has been great for our stable groups during Covid.  Our back yard has a large enclosed garden area with 30 feet of grapevines and 2 large flower beds where children grow many vegetables along with a fig and apple tree.  There is room for riding toys, basketball, club houses, slides and sensory tables as well as a rock area with tires.

A Preschool That Goes Beyond Your Expectations!

Dandelion's Preschool Program is a small group of 10 children who thrive with meaningful curriculum created to spark imagination, discovery, provocation, self-direction and self-regulation.  With an emphasis on STEAM and Literacy, your child will be academically ready and with our Conscious Discipline, they will be socially ready!  Children also take advantage of hand's on learning through our science table and large garden area where predictions and investigations spark curiosity and love of learning!

Diversity & Inclusion Are Part of Every Day Curriculum

We support Diversity & Inclusion in our program by helping children to feel good about themselves, their families, and their communities, and also exposing children to differences, things that are unfamiliar, and experiences beyond their immediate lives. Teachers, children and families, have the opportunity to learn from each other as well as reflect on the world around them. They develop a deeper sense of curiosity and compassion for others. Children also talk freely about what is happening in the world around them.

Individualized Care For Our Small Toddler Group

Our first job as teachers is to develop a nurturing relationship and provide caring interactions with the children in our care.  This promotes trust and prepares children for social emotional growth.

During your child's first 3 years they will grow more and develop further than any other time in their life.  Because of this it is important to provide them with a nurturing and stimulating environment which will meet their basic needs and beyond.  At this age, learning is very individualized and is all about discovering the world at their own pace.

Ms. Aimee

Director & Preschool Teacher

Hello my name is Aimee Anderson. I have been an Early Childhood professional for over 10 years. My experiences range from preschool at Western Oregon University and Chemeketa to being a nanny for triplets.  As well as caring for young children, I love to enjoy nature and a good book. My favorite part of teaching and inspiring young children is helping them  navigate the world around them. I truly believe that children learn best through play in a caring community of learners. I am looking forward to growing and learning together with your child.
